About this Death Cafe
Death Café of Sarasota
At a Death Café people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death and related issues. It is always a great conversation. A Death Café is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session. Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their lives'.
Venue & Date: Next meeting is November 19, 1:30pm-3pm at Enlightenment Center of Unity Church, Proctor Road Sarasota, Unity Church/Spiritual Center, 3023 Proctor Rd, Sarasota, FL 34231. Unity has a small-ish building, close to Proctor Road called "The Enlightenment Center.” That’s where we’ll be. We meet on the 3rd Saturday of every month from 1:30pm to 3:00pm(ish). Members will be notified of any changes so please make sure we have your email and phone number.
Donations: All serious persons are welcome. We do ask for a suggested donation of $5 to help defray costs of refreshments and venue.
