About this Death Cafe
Our aim is to encourage lively conversations about all aspects of death and dying. There will be no formal agenda, and topics discussed will come from the participants.
Insomnia are providing the venue. Please support their generosity by buying some of their tasty refreshements.
About Cathryn Gathercole and Linda Pentland
Cathryn is interested in encouraging more open attitudes towards death and dying and is hosting this cafe to meet others who feel the same.
Cathryn is currently an apprentice willow coffin maker, and this will be the 3rd Death Cafe she has organised.
Linda has had a particular interest in death and the dying process since the death of her father last year. Her special interest is the empowerment of people to have choices, which she believes can only be done once death is no longer a taboo subject for conversation.
