About this Death Cafe

The objective of a Death Café is to ‘increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives’.

And to enjoy tea, cake and friendly conversation on a sometimes difficult topic! 

About Vivienne, Shona & Dorothy

We are all involved with a local charity, Guisborough Bridge Assocation, that supports people in our local communities.  (Although the Bridge has Christian origins the Death Cafe is most definitely not about promoting a particular religious viewpoint.)

The three of us attended a Death Cafe earlier this year and felt it was something which would have value for the people of Guisborough.

Shona is the Youth Project Development Worker,

Vivienne is the Community Project Development Worker,

Dorothy is a Trustee and volunteer.
