About this Death Cafe
This Death Cafe will be held in the Psychology Courtyard on campus, an open-air but personal space at the University of Queensland. Our thanks go to the School of Psychology and Psychology Students' Association for their much-appreciated help.
The inspiration for this event came from a seminar course covering the subject of death, and the many subsequent discussions both in the classroom and out around how much of a taboo topic death is in Australian culture (as well as Western culture more generally).
We're holding the event at the university but it's open to the public - even if you're not a student or staff member you're more than welcome to come.
