About this Death Cafe

Circle of Friends for the Dying celebrates the 3rd year of bringing Death Cafes to the area with its 32nd CFD Death Café on Thursday, August 11, 2016.  Laurie Schwartz, Co-founder of Circle of Friends for the Dying, will present Understanding Compassion Fatigue: The Cost of Caring About and for Others.  This will be the first in a new format to support the community in its ability to break the taboo on talking about dying and death.  The talk will be preceded by music to gather by with Busking for Bread, CFD Death Café’s troubadours, and followed by the Death Café.
