About this Death Cafe

Due to the popularity of last year's Greenwich Death Cafe at Mycenae House's annual Parkfest (a free open day with lots going on celebrating our community centre and its lovely grounds), we are holding another this year, in a larger room but the pretty crockery and cake will be back!

This will be a supportively facilitated group discussion about death. It is about being able to express ideas, questions and feelings and is not about evangelising or counselling! Death is still a taboo in modern Britain and Death Cafe exists to nudge us along a little.

About Jan Ryan

I am a local life celebrant, officiating at funerals. I am also a counsellor and have strong associations with Greenwich Cruse where I train and supervise bereavement volunteeres.
