About this Death Cafe

Why are we so reluctant to talk about death?  Death is something we’re all intimately involved with, but don’t often discuss.

Come join us as we host our second Death Café, and join the thousands of other groups and individuals who are hosting these events throughout North America, Europe, and Australasia.

At a Death Café we will gather to eat cake, drink coffee and tea and discuss death.
Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'
It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.  Perhaps you are confronting your own eventual death, or you’ve lost someone close to you.    We are offering a respectful, confidential space open to everyone where these topics can be discussed.

There is no curriculum, teacher, agenda, or charge.  All you need to bring is yourself.  We are not teaching or practicing mindfulness meditation at this session.

Death Cafes are organized all over the world.  If you want more information about death cafes in general, there’s a video discussing death cafes on their website www.deathcafe.com and their Facebook group is here.
