About this Death Cafe

Death Café – Toronto Spousal Loss focuses on the specific community of widow/ers whose loss is 2 or more years ago.  Like all other death cafes, it is a discussion group with no specific agenda rather than a support group.  Members have the option of volunteering to facilitate on a rotating basis and we anticipate meeting every other month.  The evening will start with an optional half hour of socializing and eating, followed by a two-hour discussion.  To change it up a bit, this month will be a picnic in a local park.

Host & Facilitator Justine believes whole-heartedly in the concept of getting people together to discuss death and dying – with no agenda.  Her interest in the specific community of widow/ers stems from her own experience after the sudden loss of her husband and her desire to keep the conversation going several years later.
