About this Death Cafe
Please join us for an agenda-free conversation about death in the relaxed surroundings of this newly- opened cafe. Our aim is to normalise talking about death by providing a friendly environment where we can safely share conversation on this often taboo subject.
Please note, this is a discussion group, but not a bereavement support or an information-giving session.
All are welcome, we are all affected by death and dying one way or another and everyone can have something valuable to say.Or feel free to come and just listen.
It would be helpful for our planning if you could let us know you are intending to come.
Please come for 7.30pm.
Attendance is free, but please consider purchasing a drink and/or food. Costa are kindly allowing us to use the cafe out of normal hours free of charge so any purchases will show appreciation for this. It is also in keeping with the Death Cafe philosophy that conversation takes place with food and drink available.

Geraldine Fay came across the Death Cafe movement, attended an inspiring conference about death and dying and then decided (together with a friend Alice Cann) to organise a death cafe in the local community to co-incide with Dying Matters Awareness week 2016.
