About this Death Cafe

“To increase awareness of death with a view of helping people make the most of our (finite) lives.”  We gather in a safe, relaxed setting to discuss death, celebrate life and enjoy food, tea (or coffee)  and time together. This Death Cafe is open to and welcomes the community.  This is not a grief support group or educational seminar - just a chance to talk about death in an effort to enhance life...and, of course, to eat cake. Good will donations will be appreciated. Come join us in bringing death out of the closet. Please RSVP as spaces are limited.

About Rev. Gail Wodkiewicz and Stephen Sciannamea

Gail Wodkiewicz is an End-of-Life Partner, Doula, and Advocate, and Spiritual Guide. She has studied death and dying in varying modalities. Gail is an ordained interfaith minister and celebrant, and has facilitated community-based bereavement support groups. Gail's experience as a patient advocate at a community nursing home, hospice volunteer, and assisting others to die with dignity has helped shape her journey leading her to this current path. Stephen Sciannamea is a recently retired stationary engineer. Stephen holds a deep interest in questions about death, what happens after we die, and the transition of energies.
