About this Death Cafe

Viv and Dave at The Lazy Gecko are very supportive of this idea, and have kindly said we can use the long table at the back of the cafe on Wednesday afternoons. This is great, as we will be eating their cake and drinking their coffee!

We will run a "Magic Hat" donation box for this event. The money in the box will be used to make sure that anyone who can't afford a coffee gets one, and if donations build up then we can all have a "free" coffee from the funds at Christmas. No one will be prevented from attending if they cannot afford a coffee, so if you can afford it, please be generous.

Krissy Elliott your host is a pagan funeral celebrant, and priestess of liminal rites practising in Glastonbury. She has been involved in Wicca and the Occult for over 30 years, but believes all paths lead to the Divine and hopes this Death Cafe will be as inclusive as other events in the town. She is very keen to promote discussion of death as a part of the cycle of life.

Rachel Mayatt will assist as facilitator. Rachel has been running covens for years and is an experienced priestess. She feels that the taboos around death in the Western world prevent people from coping with death, and would like to see that change. This is her opportunity to do something about it.
