This is our fifth Death Cafe in Nevada County, CA. We always have an overwhelming response to our events. People have reported deep insights and connections after sitting in conversation circles. We are constantly asked, "When is your next Death Cafe?"
About Full Circle Living & Dying Collective
Akhila Murphy is the owner of Dragonfly Yoga Studio in Penn Valley. She has been a hospice Volunteer since 2009, specializing in Reiki for the end of life, and is a Dying Vigil coordinator for Hospice of the Foothills. Akhila received a certificate of completion for in-depth study with Jerrigrace Lyons of Final Passages. The program, Honoring Life's Final Passage, provided complete training in the field of conscious dying, Death Midwife Care and Home Funeral Guidance. She is also a Certified Nursing Assistant
Nandi Szabo teaches The Psychology of Death & Dying at Sacramento City College, is an Expressive Arts Therapist, and provides end-of-life and grief support services. She has received training from Jerrigrace Lyons of Final Passages. Nandi also helps the dying and/or their loved ones decorate their own cardboard caskets as a celebratory preparation at the end of life.
Rich Fisher is an Ayurvedic Herbalist and glass blower specializing in the incorporation of cremains into beautiful and meaningful jewelry and urns.
