About this Death Cafe

Following on from the Sotonettes talk by Death Cafe practitioner Tim Groom earlier this year, linking in to the WI's Time to Talk about organ donation campaign, we have decided to host our own Death Cafe, with the Art House cafe.

This session will be hosted by Death Cafe practitioner Christina Welch, as sadly Tim passed away in April.

This event is open to all, Sotonettes members and others, of all genders, and will be held at The Art House Cafe.

At a Death Cafe people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death.

Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'.

A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.
