About this Death Cafe

Talking about death is important. 

I could leave it at that. Death is the last real taboo in society and yet is something that will impact on us all both through bereavement and through facing our own mortality. I want Death Cafe Bishop's Stortford to provide a space where questions can be asked about death and dying and where open discussion can be had and experiences shared. I also want us to all eat cake.

There will be tea, filter coffee, biscuits and yummy cake served. This will be free of charge however any donations towards the cost of refreshments would be welcomed and would make the possibility of further Death Cafe events more viable. Thank you to DC Poulton & Sons Funeral Directors for being so supportive in enabling me to put on this event.

Nicola Sheehan is a funeral arranger at DC Poulton's in Bishop's Stortford. She has 15 years healthcare experience, 10 of which was in care of the dying. Nicola is passionate about creating positive experiences around death and now uses her healthcare experience to provide empathetic and supportive funeral care.
