About this Death Cafe

We’re kicking off the week with afternoon tea at the Death Café on Tuesday 19th May, where we will be talking about death and dying in a supportive environment, or if you’d rather, just come along and listen. This is a very popular event so please ensure you book your place c.griffin@stjh.org.uk.

Tim Burton’s Big Fish on the Big Screen is our film night on Thursday 21st from 6.30pm. Sit back and watch Ewan McGregor as a son trying to learn more about his dying father by reliving stories and myths he told about his life. The film is free to attend and refreshments will be available for purchase to help support the Hospice. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment c.griffin@stjh.org.uk.

Friday 22nd May is our #Dyingtoask Twitter takeover day when our team of clinic and support staff will be on standby to answer your questions about death and dying. Post your questions to @StJoHospice or email c.griffin@stjh.org.uk.

About St Joseph's Hospice

St Joseph’s Hospice will be holding a series of events during Dying Matters Awareness Week on the theme of Talk, Plan, Live.

The events are open to anyone in the community, not just those with life-limiting or terminal illness, their families and carers, who want to have a conversation about death and dying and confront their fears, in a friendly and supportive environment.

We’re not just available to talk during Dying Matters Awareness Week. Our doors are always open so come and talk to us about how St Joseph’s Hospice can help you and your loved ones talk and plan for end of life and how to live well until this time comes.

The information and support service is available as a drop-in service Monday to Friday from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Alternatively you can contact the team on 020 8525 3140, email infoandsupport@stjh.org.uk or visit stjh.org.uk.
