About this Death Cafe
As a youngster, Rose (Vered) Shavit didn't plan on encouraging death-related discussions when she'll be a grown up, honsetly.
After her brother, Tal Shavit, was killed when hit by a car on March 2nd 2011, she sadly realized the need for a safe, open, accepting space to discuss what we usually avoid talking about: Death.

Dr. Erez Cohen completed a BA and an MA at the Tel Aviv University in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. His PhD is from the Department of Anthropology at the University of Adelaide, Australia, where he researched Latin American migrants and refugees. He currently works as a lecturer and a researcher at the department of communication at Ben-Gurion University and other places, where he teaches different courses on media and disasters.
