About this Death Cafe
I want this cafe to be a place where young people can have fun and talk about some of the thought-provoking and creative aspects of preparing for death. All ages our welcome, but I would really like to promote those people of younger mind and/or spirit who might not otherwise be engaged in transition conversations to come and bring their energy to the group.
About Molly Thomas
Molly Thomas is a birth and bereavement doula. Molly was raised in a Mexican-American community in Watsonville, CA and moved to New Orleans just in time for Katrina to live with her aunt (an anthropologist who studied, amongst other things, death culture in New Orleans,) and attend Loyola University. Through her personal experiences with transition and her family ties to the Mexican-American and New Orleanian death traditions, Molly gained a beautiful perspective on transition.
