About this Death Cafe
The event will be 'drop in' style and lightly facilitated. The main aim is for all attendees to feel welcome, have a slice of cake and discuss any aspect of death they wish. We hope to create a relaxed and caring environment for people to open up and share their ideas.
About Naomi Wood
Naomi Wood has recently moved from Hackney in London to Thirsk in North Yorkshire. Previously a nurse she is now a full time mother of two young children. She is passionate about addressing the issue of death and dying, believing that we can all hope and plan for a good death. By addressing the issue of death head on she believes it can actually be liberating and joyful; allowing ourselves to embrace life itself more fully.
