About this Death Cafe
The event will be very relaxed. I'm not expecting huge numbers of people so I imagine we will have one group discussion. I will be borrowing the cafe style from the Bristol Death Cafes which I have attended.

About Cara Lavan
Cara Lavan is facilitating Death Café Malmesbury.
In my day job, I am a film maker. I have done a lot of work in the last few years with Marie Curie, filming many people working on a variety of aspects of terminal illness. I have a long standing philosophical interest in death but historically preferred not to 'dwell' on it.
In 2014, my partner died suddenly and I found myself with no choice but to face death and everything that comes with it. It was on that journey I heard about the Death Cafe movement and I have found attending Death Cafes among the most positive and life affirming events I have attended, so I thought I would bring the event to Malmesbury, the place where I live.
