About this Death Cafe
Taboo topics like death cause fear and alarm. Death feels much safer if we can talk about it with others who are open to doing the same. People are welcome to bring literature from relevant organisations to share.
The Supporters of Alexandra Park library is a voluntary organisation which supports the library as a hub for community events. There is no charge for attending. A collection will be taken to cover cost of refreshments.
The Death Cafe will be a mix of group and pair discussions with a range of questions and topics around death to choose from.
About Jan Williams
Jan has experienced many bereavements and plans to have some control at the end of her life.
Jan is a qualified and experienced coach and group facilitator on sensitive and personal topics. Her last death cafe was a success with all participants wanting a repeat event. Jan also works on parenting and anger management issues.
