About this Death Cafe

Inspiring, enlightening, warm, friendly, surprising, liberating  -  some of the words used to describe the Death Café held in July.

At Thornbury’s first Death Café, six of us sat down with tea and cake and just began talking.  We were able to explore our own thoughts and feelings and listen to each other in a relaxed and respectful way.  There was no agenda, no motive, other than to get together to talk about death - perhaps to help us make the most of our finite lives.  The subject of Death is a bit of a taboo and we found the group gave us a safe place to talk about it. Death café is not counselling or grief support.

Join us if the idea appeals to you at The Chantry and bring some cake and a small donation towards the cost of the room.
