About this Death Cafe
The main idea is to get people from all backgrounds together over tea/coffee and delicious cake to simply talk about death, a normal aspect of life that is generally feared by our culture. The hope of the Death Café movement is to simply normalize this phase of life by allowing groups of people to talk about death. It is not a support group or a means of selling services, but a simple social gathering. There have been many Death Cafés all over Colorado and the US, but there has never been one in Pueblo, and we would like to host one. The group would be hosted by two trained facilitators. We would provide the cake and encourage those who attend to buy tea or a drink of their choice from The Daily Grind.
